Saturday Pick 3: Week 13 Weekday Edition

Due to the amount of games this week, some highly graded MAC games, and the fact that everyone is sitting around on their asses this week, I thought I’d throw up my weekday College Football plays. Thanksgiving week is always great due to low volumes of people driving to work, even fewer people in the office, very low expectations, and with any luck cooler weather that actually feels like the Holidays have arrived. If we’re being perfectly honest with each other, every week should be like this week, with the low stress, and the non-5 days of work, and the don’t give a shit mentality. Everyone would be in a much better place if every Monday you knew there were only 3 days to get through, not five. Anyways, back to reality, enjoy the week, and hopefully you can enjoy some football!

NIU (-6.5) @ Western Michigan

NIU had a nice run this season, and was able to clinch the MAC West despite losing their first conference game last week. Now they take their anemic offense on the road to Kalamazoo to face Western Michigan who is looking to snap a 3 game skid. Neither team has been impressive this season, and you could argue the Broncos offensive fire power has been downright disappointing. But the Huskies have only exceeded 26 points twice this season in MAC play. This game could be ugly, and when facing Ugly, take the points.

Play: Western Michigan +6.5

Akron @ Ohio (-23.5)

It has been an odd year for football in the state of Ohio, maybe sports in general. The Ohio Bobcats are no exception, where they have a perfect 4-0 record in games which they score 49 points or more, and 2-4 when they fail to do so. I’m banking on this being the former against an Akron team whose win at Northwestern seems like ancient history. The Zips have only won two games since then, and have failed to score more than 17 points in six of those eight games. If the fun Ohio Offense shows up, this could be over by halftime.

Play: Ohio -23.5

Buffalo (-14) @ Bowling Green

Bowling Green is coming off back to back conference wins while Buffalo is coming off a blowout loss. Why is this important? Because it drove down this line. A week earlier, this line would have been closer to 20 but that’s what a week can do. Enjoy the day off Friday (for those of you who are) and lay the points.

Play: Buffalo -14
